[...] GTA IV can physically make you sick. Drinking in GTA IV has a severe affect on your character in the game, the camera gets heavily affected and the graphics become blurred. Your character will have a very difficult time walking down the street without stumbling and losing health, let alone driving. During these scenes the effects on screen not only affect your onscreen avatar, but can also make you a bit nauseous or even dizzy from looking at your character stumble around. [...]

Its called motion sickness Ive suffered with it since Wolfy on PC. I get it on GTAIV more on PS3 version due to the blurring effect of textures but on both versions at chaotic scenes with the slowdown on both PS3 and 360. Im disabled and take Buccastem M and it can actually help with motion sickness in games. If you suffer from it either try turning the lights on or off as it can affect you less (Im better playing with lights off) and try changing the camera to middle view (slightly further out) as it helps.

I don't recommend dramamine or benadryl or any other medications like that because they all have the side effect of making you drowsy. And you don't want to be drowsy and play video games.

Instead, ginger root pills work absolute wonders. There are also wristbands you can buy for sea sickness called "Sea Bands" that work for videogame motion sickness as well.

I feel so much better, knowing guys suffer from this too. I thought it was only me, cause Ive been called insane before, cause of the vertigo when gaming. They think its a "girls tactics" to lose their concentration. I get so motion sick, whatever I do. Thats the real reason I prefer to be on top. LOL

I've gotten vertigo from a few FPS'. I remember the FPS Rise of the Triad, which made me nauseous in shrooms mode. I'll try this drinking thing, but if it goes nuts, I'll walk away while he sobers up.
