NYC sites in Liberty City

Here is a great list of the parallel parts of Liberty City and it’s counterpart in real life New York City. I have to say since I am from New York this is great and I have a fun time driving around and just looking at the different sites and wondering where I would be in real life. Noticed any others feel free to send them in, I am still exploring the vast lands of Liberty City. Enjoy.

1. Crocket ave = Cropsey ave
2. Outlook park - Prospect park
3. Firefly island. - Firefly island is probably a mix of Coney Island and Fire Island.
4. Funland - Astroland
5. Boabo - D.U.M.B.O.
6. Easthook - Red Hook
7. South slopes - Park Slope
8. Purgatory - Hells Kitchen
9. Beachgate - Seagate
10. East island city - Long Island City

13. Meadows park - Flushing meadows
14. Grand Easton terminal - Grand Central Terminal
15 east borough bridge - Triborough Bridge

17. Algonquin are the Indian tribe the colonists purchased manhattan from.
18. Francis airport. - JFK airport.
19. Hove beach - Brighton Beach (tons of russians live there, like in the game)

23. Cerveza Heights = Jackson Heights - Cerveza (beer in Spanish) is a perfect fit

    Steinway Park is Astoria Park in Astoria, Queens right across from my Apt! I threw a moviltov at my landlords house down the street

    Yeah I saw the funny on the Daily Show last night and saw the guy driving around the city. He was driving around Coney Island and saw the cyclone. Then he was driving around other parts of the city and I was stunned by the quality and detail they put into the environment.

    Jon Stewart stated last night: you can go into your home town bodega and stab the guy over the counter for selling 2.50 soda. LOL.

    Meadow Hills is Forest Hills, Queens. The LIRR station and cobblestone roads look just like the one here…. I think Cerveza Heights is a mix of Jackson Heights and Corona…. It is ridiculous how detailed it is… Meadow Hills looks just like this one part of my neighborhood
