Looks like a 27 year old guy in San Diego needed his GTA fix and didn’t have the correct funds so he held up a Game Stop instead. Let the cries of video game violence begin…
Richard Fiel, 27, was arrested by police after a short standoff at the Suzuya Japanese B.B.Q. restaurant in the 5400 block of Kearny Villa Road. Police said a search of the man’s car turned up a can of pepper spray, a PlayStation 3 dual-shot controller, and “Grand Theft Auto,” “Grand Theft Auto III” and “Grand Theft Auto IV” video games.
I especially like how he picked up not only a copy of GTA 4 but also a copy of GTA 3 and a Dual Shot controller! I desperately have wanted a Dual Shot controller, but they have been sold out everywhere I go. Reporting at its finest.
“The call came out as a robbery of a commercial business … and the suspect was described, and the vehicle that he got into was described as a white Toyota pickup truck, lifted with the tailgate down, and our helicopter ABLE spotted the vehicle southbound,” San Diego Police Lt. Karen Tenney. “The officers followed it. The suspect parked here and then ran into the business located behind me and locked the door behind him.”
Tenney said the man opened the door and surrendered after speaking with police for about 10 minutes.
No one was injured and this guy was caught without incident, just some nut that decided to rob a store and GTA happened to be involved. I do like how it made a headline because it was GTA involved, but the guy surrendered in 10 minutes and didn’t do anything violent.

Write a Comment»Anything GTA related makes the headlines like its a special treatment. I bet you if a father rapes his daughter and a GTA copy was present at the time, the media would some how blame GTA for influencing the father for raping his daughter. LOL they just came off the top of my head.
