As far as stability, they are about the same, as Rockstar dropped the ball on quality control. In terms of looks, the games look great on either system. Gameplay, I tend to lean more to the PS3's Dual Shock 3, since that's what the more recent GTA games have been designed around, and it feels more natural. Online has to go to XBL, especially since most people report not being able to get online with the PS3 version (servers down or something like that). I would say, if you have to pick one, pick the one your friends are most likely to also have. DLC for PS3’s GTA IV has not been announced yet.
