March 2008 NPD Numbers

The Wii continues to utterly decimate the competition, selling over 700k units in March. Seriously, that’s Holiday sales type numbers. Wow. The DS was way up there as well, with everyone else falling in line behind them. Nintendo has a stronghold on this both portable and console sales for 2008. It’s going to be very hard for anyone to take them down.

  • Wii: 721K [up]  289K (40%)
  • DS: 698K [up] 110.4K (15.8%)
  • PSP: 297K [up] 53.9K (18.1%)
  • Xbox 360: 262K [up] 7.4K (2.8%)
  • PS3: 257K [down] 23.8K (9.3%)
  • PS2: 216K [down] 135.8K (62.9%)
