The wars of words just keeps on trucking along. Since many gamers who have both consoles. the PS3 and Xbox 360 will almost certainly be buying GTA IV, they are faced with the tough decision on which console to buy. While Home promises to have trophies for display, Xbox 360 is getting episodic content which will expand the story and is exclusive to it(for all those living under a rock for the past 7 mos). So Sony has to do the only thing that is feasible at this point, downplay the content. Make it seem unimportant that gamers will brush if off. A tough task, but here is what was said about it when Scott Steinberg, VP of Product Marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment America was asked:

“Microsoft spent the GNP of several small Latin American countries to get that [content], and if you’ve ever played San Andreas…there’s a lot of game to Grand Theft Auto and there’s going to be a lot of game to Grand Theft Auto IV to the point where I think most people will have that Grand Theft Autoexperience on the PS3, day and date, same core game shipping on the 360. Perhaps they’ll be shipping some episodic content in the fall, but there is a whole lot of product shipping on the PS3 in April and I personally don’t think there’s going to be a huge percentage of folks who jump into downloadable content for another price when they’re still playing through the core product,”

Dirty pool or a savvy business strategy. MS has to hope the content will really be worth it or they are going to look like dildos. Dildos with the balls attached.
