Sony dropped off a couple screenshots for the upcoming PlayStation Store redesign. I’m really liking where this is going.
The biggest change, in my opinion, is the navigation. The Store will now be a native application in terms of controls. You’ll be able to just press up or down to move around the store, which is much easier than the current website-like controls.
To go with the mid-April release, Sony indicated that gamers won’t see any PlayStation Store updates for the next two weeks while the redesign is implemented. Updates will resume once the store goes live. A new firmware update will be available when the Store is up, since it will be running as a native application instead of using the browser.
Here’s screens from the European version, which looks slightly different than what SCEA posted for the US.

Will the store look the same on SD and HD (because they don’t right now)?
All the screens do look like it’s setup to work properly on 4:3 sets, so I would assume it will be the same experience.
Wow the only thing awesome about this is the cheetah in battle armor.
