June 22 is the date you’ll be able to play Rock Band on your Wii, but chances are you won’t. If you have any common sense, you’ll pick up the game for either Xbox 360 or PS3. Why? Because Harmonix has gimped the Wii version of the game.
There will be no online play in Rock Band for the Wii as well as no downloadable content. It will look and act very much like the PS2 version of the game, which has crippled features left and right. The guitar will not be tied to the Wii remote, meaning your Guitar Hero 3 controller won’t work either.
Looks like if you want some full band action, you might want to pick this up on another console.

Did you really expect it though? Where would you store it? Right now, the Wii doesn’t access anything from the SD cards in-game and there’s only 512mb of internal storage, which gets filled very quickly with everything else
A gimped game for a gimped console :p seems fitting to me.
I don’t get why they haven’t programmed games to access the SD card for data.
They can’t even get online service right. What makes you think they could even be capable of that? lol
I was hoping they could figure it out as they went along, lol.
This game sounds horrific. The PS3 and 360 get in game music stores and the Wii version gets a big dick in the ass! The Wii just continues to look like a glorified PS2 or Gamecube, sad, sad, sad.
The Wii is a Gamecube, just with a fancy controller.
