Have you calibrated your TV to work best with the Rock Band inputs from your instruments? It seems the latest patch is causing some big issues with that. Sure, you get some fixes and the new in-game store, but if gameplay breaks, everything suffers.
Our friend sskitzzo put together a video showing what happens to the calibration on the Xbox 360 version of the game both pre and post patch. He notes that after the patch, he was getting horrible scores until we spent some time setting up the calibration. Not cool.

Looks like I will just reject the update.
I played Rock Band yesterday with the patch and it works fine for me, but I haven’t had to calibrate anything.
I got the patch Friday and I have my calibration set to LCD TV and mine is perfect. I played all day Sunday and it was great.
oh crap I totally forgot to try the patch.
hey, it’s me again
just wanted to note that Harmonix has basically acknowledged there’s a “possibility” of an issue, and they’re looking into it, so yeah.
until then i’m just basically going to uninstall the patch and play offline to make videos, so if any of you are having tons of trouble also, you probably will have to do that also.
