Let me start off by saying that Rainbow Six Vegas 2 looks and feels a lot like it’s predecessor, but this isn’t a bad thing. Your experience and achievements you racked up in the previous Rainbow Six game actually carries over to this version, which is a very nice feature for Ubisoft to throw in there. So your rank i.e. Captain, Private, etc. carries over as well as any unlocked camouflage gear and weapons for those ranks. Now you can also see your experience on the bottom of the screen, how much you currently have and what you need to advance to your next rank, makes it almost RPG like. You will get different experience for different types of kills and earn ranks in different categories as well, which will unlock weapons and camo.
Off the bat you will also get a chance to play through the campaign with a friend in either a public or private co-op game. This is an awesome feature because players can drop in and out of your game without interrupting the gameplay. If you are hosting and your teammate drops for any reason you just keep playing through until someone else joins in. I was very impressed by this feature and it made the game a lot easier to play through without interupting the flow of the game.
You will also find the usual versus matches still available, although there are still no dedicated servers unfortunately, so players will be hosting games. There will be occasional lag spikes especially during battles with 12 people, but nothing horrible to throw your controller over. I had a chance to play through a couple of team deathmatches, which were very fun until someone called out a pistols only match and then lit me up with an SMG, a special f*%^ you to them, LOL. Looking forward to more hands on time with the game and some Loot Ninja sponsored either co-op games or versus matches, drop me a line if you are interested. Full review coming soon.
Also when you open up your copy of RSV2 you will find an extra bonus disc that has exclusive Tom Clancy End War content.

I don’t think your exp and unlocked stuff carries over to RSV2..you do get something though. I believe it is 1250 exp and some unlockables including a flight helmet
I havnt had too much of a chance to play multiplayer yet, but running around killin terrorists with a friend in co-op play has been a blast so far.
Make sure you use cover effectivly or you will be seeing the game over screen way too much!
