Just got a holla back from our good buddies at Activision that the Call of Duty 4 map pack will cost 800 points and be ready for download on April 3. You will get all 4 new maps which look to really add some more diverse gameplay to an already stellar game.
If you have not bought COD4 yet, just wait a few more weeks. They will be releasing COD4: Game of the Year Edition on April 1. This will include the full game and a FREE token code to download the map pack. The game will be the $59.99 MSRP with the map pack at no cost. Not bad. For full details, click here.

Write a Comment»I played a bunch of Call of Duty 4 last week. I initially skipped the game because it was so fast paced. Thought it would give me motion sickness. But I played for 2 hours without any problems. Might have to pick this one up with the GoTY edition so I don’t have to pay for the maps.
Exclusive to xbox 360 for 21 days? When will the payoffs end? This industry is starting to suck.

F**k that shit, why dont they just admit, its taking them longer to polish the PS3 version and that it will be delayed. Instead they come up with shit like this. i hate to tell you ps3 fools, but it has nothing to do with polishing the game for the ps3 because the pc version doesnt get released either. i heard it was a thanks to microsoft and that no money changed hands for microsoft making the game what it is, atleast online. i read a post somewhere where the pc guys were pissed and one said the call of duty franchise has sold more on the xbox and xbox360 than all other platforms put together. either way ps network sucks, will never touch live till they charge and people learn to set there wireless up right, thats the main reason i dumped my ps3.

Well if getting FREE ONLINE SERVICE is been a fool, then count me in. Ill tell you what a fool is all about:
One that has his hardware fail in a couple of months of purchase, has to send it for repairs for 3-6 weeks, gets it back with no access to his online purchased games, has to start a new gamer tag account. Plays his hardware for 3-4 months, repeats the whole process all over again multiple times.

hey rich, whoever adopts blueray or hd dvd are fools, everyone knows that the future is downloadable content and that neither format is going to truly replace dvd. and if ms wanted blueray, theyd have it, for 2 reasons, sony cant be an exclusive manufacturer/user in games systems because that would be a monopoly, and heres the best part, microsoft owns all the high-def codecs that are in use on video, so your player (including your ps3) and every movie you buy, puts money in MS pocket. me personally, i download cracked and converted bluerays and play those through my 360, which was a big reason i dumped my ps3, it will not play any file that is not in game, blueray movie, or dvd format that is over 2gb burned to a disk(an update could have fixed that over the last 6 months).
cell, you can have free all day, more power to you, but i work as a network engineer and when i had my ps3 and call of duty 3, there was no voice chat, no vibration (which is crucial in a game like this), and i couldnt get into a game without lag. there are too many people who dont understand wireless networking and play, wirelessly, while someone is running there laptop, wirelessly. i was over my boys house the other day playing and i said how do you deal with all these guys skipping across the screen (when you see someone skipping there usually lagging, not you) and he said isnt it always like that? came over my house and saw what its like on live. xbox live, over its lifetime, has been one of the largest most dependable networks in the world. i think they have something like the 2nd highest non government internet bill every month at over $500,000. i refuse to believe that greedy sony (just like greedy ms) is going to foot that bill forever and be able to keep up. resistance was great, but what else? god of war? mgs? ff? didnt play any of them on my ps2, not my twist. atleast you guys didnt have to wait for rainbow six this time, oh wait, i heard you guys have all kinds of online problems with that, well atleast madden will run at 1080 this time, hopefully.
oh and one last word, something i’ll never hear on the 360……

i apologize, didnt intend to get everyone upset, i expressed my opinion with a bad choice of words, i just still feel burnt from sony for my psp and ps3 (and minidisk player). the psp never materialized into what it should have been and i waited in line overnight to get my ps3 just to be completely disappointed with it. i really expected in to make me get rid of my 360, which i didnt, because i was such a ps fanboy (hated the first xbox). it was like buying a porsche only to realize that the mustang cobra was faster, for half the money (its an analogy* not that its about the money). julio dont worry your girl didnt give rich the panties, he stole them from the laundry mat when her back was turned.

DJ, If you are a network engineer then you know that when you play online you will always have lag whether you are on a 360, PS3 or a PC. There is always going to be someone playing on a connection one step up from dial-up slowing you down. I have played Halo 3 numerous times on-line and it is fun, but there was lag and there was glitchers and there will most likely always be those things. At least until everyone is getting 5 or 6GB speeds through unregulated wireless in our gas lines. But that is going to be a while. SOCOM has shown us that you can have success in these environments and they will show it again come July when everyone is playing that on their PS3’s exclusively.

Now wait a minute, you are telling me that the terrible lag that XBOX 360 owners experienced during the holiday season was living proof of your so called “reliable NEtwork”. I understand your point, about Sony maybe eventually charging for the service, but damn it my point is NOBODY should have to pay for online play. PC has offered it free for years, what gives Microsoft the right to change that. The only thing they are accomplishing is changing the standard. Now its becoming a trend that for everything online must be paid for, thanks to “MICRO TRANSACTIONS” that they force developers to charge. Now everyone wants to do so. Soon Sony will be doing the same. Im sorry but XBOX LIVE is no excuse for charging a premium. YOu say” oh but theres more than just online play” well let them charge for that extra stuff, but not to play online.

Oh and Dj, your Madden insult does nothing to prove your point. Its not like EA has ever done high quality games. THey are in for the money, so you know better then I do that they are not going to invest resources on their monopolized franchise. the Madden move is one of the worst things Ive seen in gaming history. I cant wait until they finally master the NFL license like they did back in 2005.
This is beast here, I currently play call of duty since its birth and including the new well few months old cod4. I love it the best multiplayer ever and I am currently 10 prestige 55. A friend tells me that the new patch will also include 3 new prestieges can anyone confirm that?
