Halo 3 - How to Beat the Game, But Not Beat the Game

halo-3-flaming-helmet.jpg

So I set out last night with Scuba to beat the last level of Halo 3. Yeah, I know, it’s been out for a very long time and I hadn’t finished it. That is until last night.

We started at the beginning of level 9 (Halo) and played through past Rally Point Alpha, at which point my wireless connection dropped, kicking us back to the main menu. So we started back up from Rally Point Alpha. Bad idea. We proceeded to finish the game, watch all the cutscenes and credits, and no achievements pop up on my end. Turns out, you need to play the level from the beginning and finish it to get the credit.

So suffice it to say, I beat the game, but I don’t have credit for beating the game. Pretty ass-like if you ask me. I’ll go back and play level 9 again after I finish getting the skulls and terminals (5 terminals, 2 skulls to go). Sucks I have to play that whole final part again… it was long and pretty tough.

Had similar issue, my disk read errored as it loaded the final cinematic, same problem, no achievement.

All I did was replay any level through, and boinc, achievement, it’s there, just not ‘finalised’, not idea why?

I’m going to just replay level 9 after I go back and get the 2 silver skulls I need and the extra 5 terminals
