EB Games in Canada Offering Full Refund for Haze for PS3 if You Return it in 1 Week

EB Canada Haze Return

Many people are stoked about Haze for PS3 coming out soon. Apparently, EB Games in Canada feel that the game is not all that. If you preorder Haze, and return it with in 1 week with your receipt, you get a total refund. Its store credit but still. Ubisoft must be shitting their pants with rage right now. They are basically giving the game away for a free rental, and if you don’t like it, you can return it no questions asked. Furthermore, they are openly promoting this. There seems to be a good chance that Haze is going to suck big time and EB Canada is hedging their bets.

I think this is bad for the industry as a whole. What’s the incentive for a publisher to push a game out for a timely release when they know people are just going to play for a week and get their money back? This is a ploy from EB to try and bolster their pre-orders and used game sales.

It will make them put out games that don’t suck.

It was a decent policy back when Software Etc was around. It reduced the likelihood that sales guys would sell you a crap game.
