A few of you have dropped us a line to let us know that there’s some issues with some Super Smash Bros. Brawl discs. Apparently, this is one of, if not the first game to use a double layer DVD for a Wii game.
Many people are getting an error when trying they put the game in their Wii letting them know the console is “Unable to read the disc.” Ouch. I’d be pretty damn pissed too.
Thankfully, Nintendo is stepping up to remedy the issue. Unfortunately, you have to send them your Wii to get it fixed. There’s issues with a some of the lasers that read the discs in a few consoles. Thankfully, Nintendo is paying for shipping both ways and estimate you’ll be without your precious Wii for only a week or so.
So if you’re having problems getting the game to fire up in your Wii, let Nintendo know and they’ll get you all squared away.

Write a Comment»No problem here other than I need a new HDTV or the graphics are blegh even with Component cables. May just sit like 10ft away hoping it gets better.
Mine works fine, but the constant reading makes the Wii sound like it’s chewing on the disc.
from what I hear it’s reading the second layer. Can’t wait to see [hear] other games using a Dual Layer Disc now.
I tell you man, it’s a scary friggin noise that I had never heard emanating from the Wii.
