Everyone’s most anticipated PS3 update is coming this summer according to SCEE executive Ray Maguire. Speaking with MCV on the topic of PlayStation success, Ray had this to say:
Our momentum will continue with the introduction of in-game communication in the summer, firmware update 2.4 and the strongest line-up of games through our third party partners and our own studios. I’d personally like to thank our trade and business partners for helping us on the start of the PS3 journey.
Got that folks? In-game XMB and possibly a few other features are coming this summer with firmware update 2.4. Hopefully they mean early summer and not late August.

Finally, I only care to read my messages cause I fucking hate when I have to quit a game just to read a message
Yep. especially when you have your mind on a game and a friend sends you a message just to say hi? Sooo annoying!
jaja so true
that pisses me off soooo much, or when you have to leave a game to tell them you want to play with them, like Call of Duty 4
When is the update to make PSN less gay?
oh rite, it’s free. So it’s better.
I’ll believe in the in-game XMB when I see it.
