That’s right folks. Konami has confirmed the worldwide release date for Metal Gear Solid 4. Everyone in the world will have the chance to take the reigns as Solid Snake on the same day. The question is, who will be able to beat the game the fastest? Will it be Japan, who’s Metal Gear fever is uncontested? Or will be somewhere in Europe, where they aren’t getting that special bundle from the rest of the world? Or how about right here in the US? Maybe one of us westerners can take down Liquid before it’s too late.

To keep you feeling all nice and happy until the game comes out, every pre-order, starting in April, will come with Metal Gear Saga 2.0 DVD, containing a Prologue that recaps the Metal Gear franchise, a 20th Anniversary retrospective, character bios for Big Boss, Liquid Snake, Solidus Snake, and Solid Snake, plus a collection of international trailers of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. This special DVD will include a code to get into the online beta.

Strap in folks, it’s going to be an exciting couple months.
