DualShock 3 Dated for US

Do you crave rumble for your PS3, but don’t want to import a controller from Japan? Sony feels your pain, and has officially announced that the DualShock 3 is coming to the US in April. While they just mention the month, word out of Destination PlayStation, a retailers event in Arizona, puts an exact date of April 15th on the new controller.

The retail price will be $54.99, a mere $5 more than the standard SIXAXIS. Personally, I don’t think they should be charging anymore money. $50 is already a lot for an controller.

Either way, the new rumble-enabled joysticks will be available before the April 17th release of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.

  1. quite expensive. I don’t know if i’ll be picking a DS3 first day. may wait a few and let the hype die down and price may be lower or just find a place where I can get a discount.

I wish Sony would do the right thing and give a free Dual Shock 3 to every early adopter, or at the very least give it to us at a discount.
