
Turns out adding Nero to the game wasn’t so bad after all, as Capcom announced today that DMC4 has sold over 2 million copies worldwide.
That’s a huge number for the series, making it the fastest selling of all Devil May Cry games. Given the quality of graphics and gameplay, plus the hype machine that surround the game, it’s not very surprising. It just goes to show that multi-platform titles will sell a ton.
In this day and age when game development is pushing into the tens of millions of dollars, it won’t be surprising to see almost all third party titles go multi-platform. Developers need to recoup that money quickly.
