Somebody made an oopsy over at Sony. A new PSN page with Home details, among other things, went live in the US PlayStation website quickly before being removed. Thankfully, an asute NeoGAF’er grabbed some screenshots for all to see. The biggest update? Here’s what was listed under Friends & Messaging:
Talk to others during game play, say hello anytime you’re online, or have a video chat with an Eye camera; USB Camera or headset.
Notice the parts “during game play” and “anytime you’re online.” Those seem to be some deliberate phrases there. Was this meant to go up next week during GDC? Will Sony be announcing an firmware update next week? Only time will tell, and we’ll keep you posted. But here’s hoping for this feature real soon. I would love in-game messaging, cross-game invites, and a unified friends list in one spot.

I would say awesome, but I’ve gotten my hopes up on in-game XMB before.
dashboard rip-off anyone? PS3 made a later launch to see how they can rip-off 360 featuresbut they still suck? Yes that last part is a question.
Oh yes yes yes! Please Please!!
