Banjo Kazooie 3 Coming This Year

Banjo Kazooie

In an interview with Stephen Totilo over at MTV, Shane Kim, head of Microsoft Game Studios, confirmed that Banjo Kazooie 3 will be coming this year.

I’m super-excited about what they’re doing with ‘Banjo.’ I think ‘Banjo’ is going to be a big hit for us this holiday.

We haven’t heard anything about Rare’s upcoming Xbox 360 game since the first trailer at X06 (yes, as in 2006). Now that we have a release date, I’m sure more information is going to start pouring out.

This is one of those N64 games I never owned.

It was pretty good back in the day. However, given Rare’s recent track record, I have my doubts about this one and how well they can still produce a great game.

True, because Perfect Dark zero wasn’t all that good.

Yeah PDZ was a big disappointment. Kameo was decent, and Viva Pinata is a very niche title, albeit done fairly well.

why don’t they make donkey kong country an arcade title? I think that (besides perfect dark) was the best rare ever.

That would roughly be because Donkey Kong is a Nintendo properly. Don’t expect to ever see that on Xbox Live Arcade. There’s issues with it becoming a Virtual Console release as well because Rare is owned by Microsoft.
