Rumor Mill: Halo Wars Coming to PC with Cross-Platform Play

halo-wars.jpg

Everyone knows about Halo Wars, the RTS set in the Halo universe being developed for the Xbox 360. Well rumor has it that the game will be coming to PC as well. That’s not all folks, as the rumors say there will be cross platform play between the PC and Xbox 360.

We haven’t seen many cross-platform games. In fact, UNO and Shadowrun are the only two. It looks like Halo Wars might be the third.

I have to see, I see an insane advantage to the PC here. Even though the game is set to use a simplified control scheme, using a keyboard and mouse for RTS games is a big plus over a controller. If the rumors turn out to be true, there better be either keyboard and mouse support for the Xbox 360 or some way to balance the playing field.

We’ll keep you posted on any concrete news that comes out surrounding the game.

Wasn’t FFXI also a cross-platform title? I could’ve sworn the PC people and the PS2 people could co-exist. Didn’t they also add in the 360 version?

Anywho, I’m interested in Halo Wars, I’ve been itching for a RTS game.

I’m sorry, I will forever be against RTS games on a console. Unless ofcourse you can use a keybaord and mouse, but if you do that, why don’t you just buy it for the PC?

I think it’s because the console usually sits in the living room, where you can sit on the couch with a KB and mouse in your lap. But to an extent I do agree, they play better on PCs.
