Resistance 2 - Screenshots Slideshow

The only thing better than still pictures are moving pictures. You move them at a fast enough rate, then you get what the kids are calling “movies”.  Check out these stills from the upcoming sequel to Resistance.  I might have to buy a PS3 after all…

^My only wish list items for Gears 2 are that they fix the duck ‘n’ cover system so you can duck ‘n’ cover anywhere, as well as lying prone.

fix duck and cover? it’s already perfect, but you might be onto something with prone.

Ok I thought Resistance was pretty fun, but dear god, did multiplayed suck so bad. I don’t get why everyone liked it. Maybe it’s just me, I dunno, but I hated it. Please Insomniac, make multiplayer better. Like COD4 or something.

@mister needles, duck ‘n’ cover in Gears is nowhere near perfect. There were many a time that I tried to do a roll and instead took cover next to a wall, getting me insta-killed on insane. There were many other times where I tried to take cover next to a wall, only to roll into the cross-fire (most notably on the map with the stairs to the place that looks like city hall), again the result was instant death.

I guess what bugs me most is that the developers say that a game of paintball inspired the duck ‘n’ cover system, but I’ve been playing paintball for 20 years. Rolling anywhere, crouch-walking, lying prone, and prone crawling are key to staying alive. And with the amount of buttons on the 360 controller, they should’ve gotten it right the first time. But still I hold out hope that they play some more PB and learn that there’s more than just hiding behind a wall.
