CES 2008: Gaming Monitor

I came across this monitor and the concept is pretty sweet, but in practice how can you justify having this huge monitor on your desk just to play FPS games. From the look of this monitor it is pretty deep which won’t exactly be a great selling point, although it does give you that peripheral aspect of the game. I don’t think the curvature is enough to make it actually feel like your in the game, if you sit far enough away from this thing it will be almost the same as a widescreen TV. Looks pretty interesting, but I just don’t think this will catch on.

My nephew uses a 42″ plasma as a computer monitor. I think that people who get vertigo/motion sickness from FPS’ will get sick even faster using this screen.

NEC and Alienware both have the same monitor out. Check them both out, they’re identical.
