Nintendo released 18 screens for Wii Chess, being released in a couple weeks. The games looks very straight forward. For a game on a disc, I expected a bit more from Nintendo. This looks like it should be a download for Wii Ware.
Check out the last screen. Nintendo honestly released a screen showing an error code for connecting to the internet. Too funny.

Don’t get me wrong, I love chess too. Me and my Kasparov electronic chess set have seen a lot of time together. But this game just looks cheap. To me, it looks no better than the free Yahoo Chess. Even that Chess that ships with Vista looks much better than this
Yeah, I’d much rather play yahoo chess, you can connect to anyway instantly and it’s free. The chess that ships with Mac’s and some Linux computers looks better too.

wii underwater basket weaving? maybe if it was packaged with checkers, chinese checkers, blackjack, poker, jacks, jenga, dice, and yes dominos then people should buy games they can get for free with a vial of crack down any alley in newark or irvington
Electronic chess IMHO is mad whack. I’d rather buy a chess board and play with real people in person. That way, when I lose I can pelt them with the pieces.

LOL, I use that phrase all the time. I guess it shows how old I am.
This game doesn’t scream “Wii” to me. Although it looks ok, I think it would be rather boring to play. But I guess if you play chess normally, why not play on the tv.
