I had a chance to play some of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams on the Wii and let me say that this game is very unique. It is a spin off of the classic Sega Saturn NiGHTS game from the late 1990’s, but since I never had a chance to play that vesion I figured this one would be a good time to start.

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is an interesting game to say the least that focuses on visual stimulation over anyhting else. NiGHTS is super colorful and kind of reminds me of Sonic on halucinagens. You are a boy that enters the dream world and melds with this Jester (which I am not sure is male or female?) to fight in the dream world.

The game aside from focusing on visual popping graphics and being colorful also pays heavy attention to the flying dynamic of the main character. The main way to get around the worlds is to fly and this for the most part is fun, but the controls are a bit wonky and will take some getting used to before you can begin to enjoy the game. You can contorl the main character with the Wii remote, nunchuk or classic controller, I suggest using the nunchuk and analog stick so you don’t lose your mind.
