Alrighty then. Lets see what this week brings us in the world of XBLA shall we?

Kind of a slow arcade week really. Mostly Picture Packs for classic games. There were however several games that came out that were noteworthy. My personal favorite was an updated version of the classic Tempest - it never gets old for me. I will say though that the trial game for Space Giraffe was A). Longer. B). More fun. I seriously got to play about thirty seconds of either the classic or updated version. Yeah man, the games twenty-six years old but wouldn’t want to give too much away would we?

Anyways.

Arkadian Warriors seems to be a pretty involved adventure game in the vein of Untold Legends (with much larger heads). I could definitely lose a large chunk of time exploring and killing things (can’t I always though). Gripshift looks to be a run-of-the-mill app. Cartoon characters: check, customizable vehicles (but not too much): check, fairly interesting driving/ racing and object collection: check. My girlfriend Marcella is currently yelling at my TV because she can’t keep the car on the track - that alone makes the download worth it for me. I could see myself getting into it just to see where it goes. Huh.

Actually, as I type this I’ve changed my mind. Three new games, a shitload of Picture Packs and various add-ons seem pretty damn cool the week before Christmas.
