He has a documentary coming out regarding (once again) violence in the videogame industry. Now this is nothing new to anyone who has followed this man career, he does this all the time. He’s been demonizing videogames since MK1 and no one has been able to shut him up since. He really, really, really likes to hear himself talk.
This time is a bit different though. In his new documentary Moral Kombat, Thompson declares that videogame violence actually caused the terrorist attack of 9/11! If it weren’t so disconcerting, it would be very funny. Thompson states that the terrorists used flight simulators in training. Of course pilots use simulators as well. So does the military. And pilots in training who can afford the technology. And like, a few thousand other people on the planet that don’t run around killing people.
Anyways.
Captain Whackadoo goes on to explain that people like Pekka-Eric Auvinen or Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold used to play violent video games. Actually I think he has a point there. If I recall correctly, Hitlar used to play Halo 2 online with Pol Pot, Stalin and Nero (Lucius Domitius). Jesus! That explains everything! Wow! Jack Thompson really is insane! Wheeeeeeeeee!!
Don’t worry everybody. You are not alone in your concern. This man has issues. He is unzipping his trousers and showering these issues all over the heads of the gaming community.
