Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction is a very entertaining game and a solid platform title on the PS3. Loading in the game is very quick and there are a ton of options and weapons for you to choose from to cause mayhem. It also takes advantage of the six axis controls and tries to incorporate it into the gameplay as much as possible.
Presentation and Graphics: The presentation and graphics of the game are spot on. The environments look bright and beautiful as well as the different enemies and bosses. Ratchet and Clank look great in Hi Def and really benefit from the large environments and high level of detail. This has to be one of the smoothest and best looking games not only on the PS3, but any system for that matter. 5 out of 5
Sound and Music: The sounds in Ratchet are great; explosions and enemy chatter are right on. More importantly the dialogue between missions and during is very entertaining and funny at times, which add to the overall experience. 4 out of 5
Gameplay: There are a total of 30 different gadgets and weapons for you to take advantage of, ranging from grenades and rockets to pirate holograms and gadgets that make your enemies dance. The core of this game is all of the weapons that you can purchase in order to cause some serious damage. All the weapons can be upgraded in two different ways, either by leveling them through usage or by purchasing different upgrades for them like: more ammo, more damage or speeding up the rate of fire.
You travel from planet to planet solving different puzzles and fighting different bosses, which are geared toward the type of the planet. The game is not very challenging until you beat it on normal and unlock the hard mode, for the most part you can get by most enemies once you upgrade your grenades.

There are plenty of mini games to break up the weapon wielding mayhem, which all utilize the six axis controls. There are mini games that involve you moving a marble around to hack into doors, others that have you flying around a level or grinding on rails while dodging trains and enemies. I personally like the usage of the six axis controls and think it was a nice break from just straight platforming, You also get certain levels where you take control of your rocket ship and fight your way from planet to planet again changing things up and keeping them fresh. One of the pains in the game was the swapping form weapon to weapon at times this wasn’t as smooth as I hoped it would be and ended up with the wrong weapon out.
The gameplay overall is great and offers a lot of fun for all types of gamers. 4 out of 5
Online: Unfortunately for this title there is a lack of multiplayer or online features. Perhaps the addition of a deathmatch style system or some type of online co-op would have made this solid title even better. 1 out of 5
Lasting Appeal: The game offers 10- 15 hours of gameplay followed with even more replay value for going through the harder difficulty. The game offers good platforming fun and lots of different options for you to choose from on how to destroy your enemies, leveling up the weapons and collecting all of them is a big part of the fun of this game and will have you back tracking and collecting bolts in no time. 4 out of 5
Final Word: Great platformer with good controls and humorous dialogue. Ratchet on the PS3 is a lot of fun and anyone with a PS3 should pick this title up, it is a must have.
Overall: 4.25 out of 5

I have not played this game yet but i hope to soon and if its anything like the others i will have a great interest in it. cant wait bcuz i thought the other games were pretty good.
This is by far the most entertaining title I have played all year. Bioshock and Folklore are in a pretty distant second.
My only beef with the game is that it’s a little too easy, and the Rhyno IV takes any challenge away from the game (I tore the final boss apart in challenge mode in under 30 seconds, the cutscenes during the fight were longer than the actual fight).
