If you are a parent, you should try to get your kid to focus on real guitar rather than guitar hero. While guitar hero can be fun at parties, it really isn't that fun beyond it. With guitar, you can pick up a beginner acoustic and it never gets old, and music knowledge is a good skill to have anyways. Oh and being really good at GH will in no way make you good at guitar, and if your really good at guitar, you may not be that good at GH. As much as I hate to say it.
