Sony did an amazing job of translating the God of War experience from the PS2 to the PSP. Even on the handheld, the game feels enormous and you have the same sense of drive as with the first two games in the series. If you’ve played previous God of War games, you’ll feel very comfortable with Chains of Olympus. The controls are just like it’s console brothers and feels great.
The demo puts you in the Battle of Attica as the city is being attacked by Persian soldiers. You fight your way into the city, battling and chasing a basalisk (think Godzilla on 4 legs). Being able to fight such a giant creature early on in the demo is a great way to let you know the game’s scale.
Chains of Olympus has flat out the best graphics the PSP has ever seen. I can’t wait to see the full game in March 2008. If you didn’t get a copy of this demo, do whatever you have to do to find a copy.
