Reviews: Scene It? LCA (XBOX 360)

Now I am drinking Ferrari-Carano Siena. Its a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese from California. It too, is very good. Veeeeeerrryyyy gooooooood (so good it gives you morning wood my buddy Ross says-dork).

With twenty-one different versions out already, Scene It? has come at last (and perhaps unexpectedly) to the XBOX 360 with Lights, Cameras, Action!. Plus, it comes packed in with four wireless controllers. Hazahh!!

Scene It? is a multi-faceted movie trivia game, meaning that you don’t just answer questions based on movie clips like other DVD trivia games, it much more varied. Game modes include ‘Credit Roll’ where you guess the movie based on the cast, ‘Child’s Play’ has you guess the movie from an invisible ‘child’ who draws a picture until you get the answer, and ‘Quotables’ where you have to finish lines from famous movies. Lets discuss.

Presentation & Graphics: This is usually one of the longer areas. But this is a trivia game. The movie clips are in HD (which is cool), and the rest of the game looks, well, like you would expect. Underwhelming I suppose but no ugly spots. So…yeah….huh. 4of 5

Sound & Music: The announcer is annoying. The clips sound pretty damn good. Other sound affects are adequate. Nothing really stands out (are they supposed to in a trivia game?). 3.5of 5

Gameplay: The various modes are all pretty cool. Cutscenes are lengthy but not too long (depending on the movie you’d like the clip to just keep on going). The one thing that kinds rubbed me the wrong way was the controller. I was kinda disappointed that the huge button was just a giant directional pad in the shape of a huge button. I really wanted something I could slam against my forehead. Is that weird? 4of 5

Multiplayer: By yourself, your a loser. With someone else, pretty fun (strip trivia rocks). Three or four people, getting better. Four groups of two or more, add beer and whatnot, your there. Do it. 4of 5

Lasting Appeal: The game saves your previous questions to prevent repeats, thank you little baby biker Jesus. If the rumors of new downloadable questions are true, this is a trivia game that just might last longer than anyone could expect. 4of 5

Final Word: When you think about it, even considering the purchase of this game means you like trivia. If you like trivia you will enjoy this game. If you enjoy trivia games that rarely repeat questions with the prospect of adding even more questions all the whileusingwirlesscontrollersandslammingdownongiantbuttonslikeacrazedcrackheadonthepriceisrightwithyourfriendsandfamily…..WHEW!

Then buy this game.

Overall:4of 5

I don’t need alcohol to get up with morning wood.
What does this game retail for? My brother and I like trivia games. We have a ton of useless information just waiting to get out there.

$60 with 4 controllers built-in is not a bad deal at all.
