There always has to be someone to blame. People have trouble taking responsibility for failings. So it comes as no surprise that film executives are blaming Halo 3 for lower than expected October Box Office numbers. Box office sales are currently down 27% from last year.
“The audience on this game is the 18-to-34 demographic, similar to what you’d see in cinemas,” said Mike Hickey, an analyst at Janco Partners, adding that “this could last for several weeks.”
I’m sure this big drop in numbers has absolutely nothing to do with every movie currently out being shit. Nope, that couldn’t have anything to do with lower box office sales.

Come on, this is America! In America no one is responsible for their own failings it is always someone or something else’s fault.
/bitter from listening to too many whiners…
@Dave - agreed, i am sure it has nothing to do wiht the current state of shitty movies being released, no cant be! Seems like I havent seen a new movie IP in forever, everyhitng is a comic adaptation or some kind of sequel or prequel.
I blame Loot Ninja… Those guys are constantly updating their website with new and interesting crap that I gotta read so I have no time to go out to the movies…. Don’t they understand that these movie executives have families to support too? Who cares if every moie out there is complete crap? As Americans it’s our duty to go out there and shell out $12.50 to sit through 90 minutes of their mind-numbing crap while eating $4 bags of Reese’s pieces and drinking a $5 soda every weekend!
So I implore you loot ninja, stop distracting me from performing my civic duties!!!
…either that or post some more video clips of people getting killed in crazy ways on Halo 3, that works too….
@ anidor- you forgot the $10 nachos, i’m a sucker for that melted cheese.
Yesterday I was playing Halo 3 and one of my teammates threw a power drain across the stage on one of the jump pads, it was pretty damn funny!
I knew we were contributing to the delinquency of minors, but now we’re killing the movie industry too? dammit…
Yeah, well sometimes sacrifices must be made…
