Many people likened Halo 2 as Halo 1.5. After playing Halo 3 this weekend (I have the achievements to prove it :p) I can say that although I enjoyed what I played, it still felt like more of the same. Sure there were a few new things to the game here and there, but the ATV for one is a total waste (Warthog 4 Life). Not being able to dual wield the needlers caught me by surprise, but it seemed to do more damage. And I guess that hammer thing is the new laser sword (everybody rushes to get it and proceeds to cheese the field with it). I agree with it having a 4/5. Many people likened Halo 2 as Halo 1.5.

I've played COD4 multi-player, and it beats Halo hands down. In halo, I find myself getting bullshit kills, or having other people get bullshit kills on me. In COD4, there is much less of that. Yes they added certain things that enhance the game but it never really departs form the usual old hat we are used to form the first two. The game is tons of fun and has alot of replay online until people figure ot how to cheat. my 4 stands.
