There have been some grumblings from our users about the use of ALL CAPS when posting comments. Things such as punctuation, grammar, and all things related to coherent thought tend to be vacated when all caps are used. Don’t get me wrong, you need not use iambic pentameter when posting your thoughts. An all caps post may be deleted regardless of content (depends how we feel that day). Thanks to all the readers who wrote to us requesting this notice.

Yugo man chill out. C’mon, thats an annoying thing to say. The only reason that this is a rule is because people would post full comments in caps, which made things really annoying to read if your trying to have a discussion with comments. You can still POST A FEW CAPS! but not whole posts, that is just annyoing for the whole community.
Please think about others in the community here, and think about why things should not be all caps. Here is an example.
Omg Loot Ninja sucks, all caps is so cool, why would they take it off. Its not like its hard reading this when trying to have a discussion, you know, caps lock is cruise control for cool and all, and this just is very annoying.
OMG LOOT NINJA SUCKS, ALL CAPS IS SO COOL, WHY WOULD THEY TAKE IT OFF. ITS NOT LIKE ITS HARD READING THIS WHEN TRYING TO HAVE A DISCUSSION, YOU KNOW, CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL AND ALL, AND THIS JUST IS VERY ANNOYING.
(Now which one is much easier to read, and doesn’t scream “IM IMMATURE AND NEED TO USE ALL CAPS TO GET A POINT ACROSS!”
Oh and also, the caps wasn’t their decision, it was the decision of the community.

Frag has a point. I could care less about the caps thing but we have gotten enough emails to address it. People speak out, we listen. You have to at least appreciate our willingness to accommodate our reader’s wishes.
Yeah this was a combined decision of us and our readers. Fragloser is completely right. Generally, people who type in all caps don’t have something good to say anyway.
I completely agree with a ban on all caps. That shit is illegible when it’s all caps.
I could read better with caps but oh well fine if you guys care about it so much w/e
BAHHHH, no I’m just kidding I agree with frag and loot, caps are anoying and generally only resemble a shouting person…
Yeah using caps to get your point across or emphasise something isnt banned but having an entire comment in caps will get banned, in similar any other shenanigans that may offend, i.e. writing and entire comment in LEET speak, please dont start this. Peace guys.
