A game of this magnitude had to have a complete look at to give a good review. Many sites rushed through the game to fire out a review just to have it. Here at Loot Ninja, we strive for perfection, and to be honest, BioShock is very close to it.
Presentation and Graphics: Is this the best looking game on the Xbox360? No, but it is a close second to GoW. There are some instances where mapping can be an issue and not every inch of the game is perfectly done, but lets face it folks, not one of us could even fathom putting together a game of this magnitude. I am not easily startled, but there are quite a few times I almost shit myself. Ripping a little girls stomach out for ADAM might be the single creepiest thing in the history of gaming. Although, they strike a cord with some of the things you do not see. There are many times that a shadow looms around the corner or that feeling you get when a Big Daddy is stomping around and banging the wall for a Little Sister to come out. You just know you are in for a fight. 4.5 of 5
Sound and Music: The best to date. By far. If you can say with a straight face that hearing 50’s music on a record player skipping while you are trying to club a half dead Splicer with a wrench does not at least make you a little uneasy, you are not human. Never in my life have I seen a game that has the audible emotional power this game does. The sound and music in this game want you to feel like you are in the game and experiencing every moment of it. They do much more than that. 5 of 5
Gameplay: This game is called a FPS, but its much more than that. Yes, you do shoot, but there are elements of RPG laden throughout. The game also forces you to make decisions on which plasmids/tonics to buy/equip and whether to harvest the little creepy sisters or save them. The hack mini games are essential to success and the AI is as smart as I have ever seen. The ability to create your own ammo is something out of Oblivion. The game forces you to think and react instead of blindly running through. The controls are also extremely responsive. They are simple yet effective. This is another area where BioShock is far above every game on the market. 5 of 5.
Lasting Appeal: There is no multiplayer or co-op but the game is as big as you want it to be. People who have claimed to have beat it in 10 hours absolutley rushed through it. The game is meant to be explored, every inch, nook and cranny. Try playing the game on its hardest difficulty and do not harvest any of the girls. See how much different it is. 4.5 of 5
Final Word: Is this the best game made to date for the Xbox 360? Yes. No game I have ever played has the emotional and sheer art feel to like BioShock. I can relate it to reading a very good book. You are almost sad when its over, but you feel like you have accomplished something. For 60 bucks, you get way beyond you money’s worth and one of the best video games ever made. Savor this one; games like this only come along once every few years. Overall: 5 of 5
1 = Not worth the bandwidth.
2= Demo is enough, not worth your money.
3= Game is good, depending on the price, seriously consider picking it up.
4= Worth your money. Should provide some good times for quite awhile.
5= Buy the game. Lock your door. Pick up a case of beer. This could take all night.

I’m still on the fence as to whether or not I should buy it. Yes, it has several redeeming qualities, but does it have a lasting replayability level? That’s all I really need to know. Would I want to play this game over and over and over, as I would with Halo?
Go to my review and read the “Rent or Buy” section. I also include a few more things in the final words about whether this is a rent or buy.
Get off that fence dude, run to Gamestop and BUY it. I played it on hard saving every little sister and it was nuts! So much fun. I’ve played it a few times since I beat it too so yes I’d say you should buy it…
Every person who calls themself a gamer should play this game, own it even. Right on with the review.
[...] whole experience. This won’t be a review of the game, as we’ve already done that twice (Xbox 360 and PS3), and as everyone knows it’s amazing. This review will instead focus on the Games on [...]
