If you sign on to Xbox Live, you should have a new message from the service letting you know of some scheduled downtime on September 10th.
Xbox Live will be going down for a service upgrade on September 10, 2007 starting at 2:01 PDT and lasting for approximately 4 hours.
So if you planned on playing into the wee hours of the morning (on the left coast) next Monday, you might want to revise your plans. Hopefully it will only take 4 hours this time, but who knows. The past 2 scheduled downtimes for Xbox Live ended up being a whole lot longer than scheduled. Expect human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria.

Luckely no big games come out then and that for me it won’t be causing too much of a problem. Does anyone know exactly what the update consists of?
It’s not an update that we’ll see right away. It’s prepping the servers for the new features in the Fall Dash Update, performing software updates, and general server cleanup.
