Any of you experienced any issues with the 360 patch. I got graphical buggs. Like when I load a game, you have to wait for the details to come. Didn´t have that problem before. Also the lighting seems to go through the walls.

[Update] To remove the patch, clear the cache on your Xbox 360. Go to the System Blade, then Memory. Highlight the Hard Drive and hit Y. Hit X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X. Choose Yes to perform system maintenance. This will remove ALL downloaded patches. The next time you load up BioShock, do not download the patch.

This will take ALL of your patches away, but since they are all auto install, they will reinstall when you put a new game in. Hope this helps :)

If ur using vista and have a DX10 Card and u freeze a certain point (ex. the slideshow) just make the game run in DX9 and it should not freeze to do this add "-dx9" ex (\Builds\Release\Bioshock.exe -dx9)
go to the root folder
right click BioShock.exe
then create a shortcut
Right Click Shortcut
go to properties make the text in the target box say ".........Builds\Release\Bioshock.exe -dx9"
then use the shortcut to run the game
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

Sure, it runs better, but you have to deal with the very insane DRM they've put on there, with potential rootkit issues

Leave it to 2k to ruin a game with a patch.
They must've had a conference call with the higher ups.
"Gentlemen, we have a problem. It seems Bioshock is loved by all and working great. We cannot allow this."
"We're on it, sir. We are putting together a fuck-it-all-up patch as we speak."
"Keep up the great work guys, and don't let this happen again."

texture pop in is something you are going to have to get used to. It is usually a small problem in games that stream textures realtime to cope with system memory limitations. remember driving too fast in vice city and all of a sudden all of the buildings look like horse crap them boom back to normal. same thing with this but 2k packed so many multi layered hi-res textures so close in the game that even given UE3s superb ability to stream textures on the fly without causing framerate stutter the hardware memory available today simply does not have the bandwidth to handle such large amounts of data sifting. be it the video ram system ram shared or not, it is a huge pain to have relatively large levels as well as extremely high fidelity textures.

2k could have made the streaming time so low you would never experience a texture pop-in but that would be at the cost of quality.

i am thoroughly convinced that they have found a good balance if not great.

try to appreciate, not criticize. realize that you alone are not capable of anything of this magnitude quality or complexity, respect their work enjoy a kickass game .
thanks.
