This is one title that I have heard some mixed reviews about. Lair is being released September 4th in the US for the PS3. The game features aerial and ground dragon combat using SIXAXIS controls. We’re looking to get our hands on a copy today to give you some impressions.
In a world ravaged by endless conflict and natural disaster, a call for peace turns into a bloodbath of betrayal and deceit in Lair™ for the PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) computer entertainment system. Playing as a warrior named Rohn who rides a voracious dragon trained for deadly aerial and ground combat, gamers must defeat the war-hungry Mokai to save the Asylian civilization. Together, Rohn and his dragon will attempt to change the destiny of a world on the brink of extinction by scorching, clawing and smashing through thousands of enemies and their war-trained beasts.
With all the mixed reviews the game has received so far, who knows what we’ll think.

I’m still on the fence with Lair. Gonna have to play it and see how it feels
I deffinetly wanna pick this up, but Im gonna play more WarHawk first.
Wow. there are a lot of PS3 exclusives coming out as we all see. However, the two recent ones (Heavenly Sword Lair) both got smashed when it was time for them to be reviewed.
I just read the Lair review from IGN, and it scored a 4.9. That is pretty bad considering it was supposed to be a big PS3 exclusive. Also, HS received a 7.0 from IGN, which isn’t too great either.
I think that these 2 PS3 exclusives weren’t meant to be good long run games, but just games that would excite people and possibly lure in more people to buy a PS3. From what I’ve read, the games are spectacular in the beginning, but by the middle of the game, it just gets repetitive. Well, no worries, PS3 has UT3 coming and XB360 is getting a gimped version (boo).
Fragloser you hit a lot of points I’ve made in my past PS3 posts. One of the most importent ones being that all these exclusives are clearly about brigning in more consumers. Little did they know till now that all they had to do was produce a high quanity of 60GB PS3’s, that and let Lair be a non exclusive so both PS3 and Xbox could have felt the wraith of a 4.9. One more point for xbox.
