This is not your average first person shooter and this is not your average game. The first thing that came to mind was Half Life. If you are a fan of that type of game, well, preorder this right now. The game graphically is one of the best I have seen. I would not say as great as GoW but the level design is as trippy as it gets. The story is something out of the mind of Stephen King on an acid trip. Something about errie 50’s music just freaks me out. There is not all that much gameplay in the demo but you do learn some of the array of powers you are privy to. You have the ability to use plasmids, which to the non science folk are bacterial inserts that can change DNA, and the two powers you can use are an electrical shock and incinerate(this is found in a bathroom). There are also many automatic save points which will make this game a lot less frustrating by limiting backtracking and replaying annoying portions.
I am not going to spoil the story for you, but you owe the 1.3 gb of HDD space to giving this a look.

If the useless sh*ts who run our telecoms wouldn’t sell bandwidth like it was gold, then i’d get this.
Yea, I just played this twice and man it is an awesome game. I would have to say that the level design is better then that of gears of war. If you have read all the info about the game, its designed in a way that you can basicaly backtrack wherever you want to in the game because rapture is like a whole city. Personaly, I belive that this will be 100x better then gears of war, simply because of all the gameplay elements that are present.
“The city itself is inspired by Art Deco and has an appearance merging the futuristic and archaic.” (Wiki) I think thats where the really sweet level design comes from, I really enjoy it.
This and stranglehold are going to be my two games to play 24/7 before I have to go back to school in sept.
Are there any more than 2 plasmids and 2 weapons in the demo? I just played through for the first time. VERY immersive experience. Somewhat scary too. Had me on the edge of my seat.
