Ninja Bee sent us over a copy of Band of Bugs for the Xbox LIVE arcade so I decided to give it a whirl other than the bits and pieces I had seen form the demo. This game really is deep for an arcade title and is based heavily on games like Final Fantasy Tactics, but with bugs as your main characters. It is turn based tactical battle that can be played either versus computer AI in the story mode or over Xbox LIVE against LIVE opponents. Also the editor is an interesting feature where you can create your own lands and play against friends on those created terrains.

I played through the single player campaign and I like how they show you the different attack types and units as you progress through. My favorite thing in the game has to be pushing enemy bugs into the water for instant kills(as long as they don’t fly of course). I am looking forward to playing through more of this title and trying out the new expansion. The only problem I found so far was finding a game online, seems not many people are actively playing over Xbox LIVE, if any reader wants to get a game in let me know.
