I would like to see the rumble come back to the controller but I think everyone does, that should be a give in to the designers, if you make your costumers happy then you will be happy. I am not that big of a fan of the SIXAXIS but then again I haven't had that much time to mess around with it but I agree that I think if you were playing a FPS and using the SIXAXIS to peak around a corner or if you were just running and gunning how still you hold the controller equals to how accurate your aim will be. I think that they should incorporate the rumble that works with explosions or other people shooting in the game and your own shooting in the game, if a bomb goes off, or a shot fired your controller rumbles and your accuracy drops like I think it would in real life, that is just something that I think would be cool but maybe everyone else feels differently, just an idea. I have always had a love hate relationship with that playstation controller, it feels good but it could be better, but think of how long they have had this same basic design of the controller, it is either going on or has been ten years, lets try to do a little something different with the lay out. I think the R2/L2 buttons had a nice little change but I think it needs more. Like someone else said, they should be more concaved to fit my fingers, a more snug fit to my hands. The Joysticks definitely need to change, I have always hated this layout, when the xbox controller came out I was thanking God and even more so when the controller was redesigned and more perfected into the 360 controller. My thumbs always slip off the joysticks because of the surface material, that also needs to be more concaved like the 360 controller or resurfaced. The left joystick also needs to be repositioned to the D-Pad area, we are in the next gen of systems, the HD era yet the still have the D-Pad in the most used area yet its hardly ever used, and even if it was I am sure people have or would complain about it. Besides that I have no real complaints about the controller I just want to see a few changes, I think some other add ons would be cool and take a step forward with things in the controller world but I think Sony took a step back with removing the rumble, so lets get it back up to par and then we can move forward with it. They need to be concentrating on getting more games and better games and giving me more of a reason to buy a PS3 besides the fact that I just love PlayStation as a brand yet the PS3 is the only system I don't have... Get everything straightened out Sony I know you guys will be on top again.

I would like to see a complete redesign of the entire controller... keeping the old PS2 controller is not hot if you ask me. ( I know people want to stay with what works but that lazy of sony, if 360 can redesign their controller so can sony. Put some dam work into that sucka and make it hot) seriously you can test the new ideas with the consumer before going live with it.

I for one am tired of the old boring small controller beef it up a little - flatter, a little wider, add rumble. Make it real comfortable.

Seriously do I have to do everything... ok then, I will now go make a composite of my idea.. ( hold on) - ok here you go -

http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/3965/newcontrollerlt2.jpg

Ok yes it looks sort of like a 360 controller just a little wider flatter and made with that rubber surface material that they use for controller skins. In a nice carbon color.

Ok now features: Can we get a memory card built into the controller, Why you say? Because sometimes I want to go over to my friends house and I want to bring my data with me. So let's say I'm stuck in heavenly sword and I bring my controller over to my friends house and data's on the controller so it loads my saved games automatically when it sinks up with his PS3. I would like to tie it to the controller - I mean sure you can do a usb stick but seems cooler if it was just built into the controller.

Can we also put the battery light on the controller so I know when it's dying. Just a little LCD light meter on the controller. Yeah it's on the screen but in the middle of a game who wants to do controller battery check, just tell me when your dying.

Oh and can I get some different color lights, I know it's a small thing but sometimes I wish the controller Power on button would light up Red then sometimes I want it to be blue. That would be cool if you could set your color for the light like on the Dell XPS.

I guess that's about it for now, but trust me I could go on. For a 600 dollars system I was just expecting some really cool looking controllers.

I'm not in favour of the reversal. That is only suited for FPS's. PS3's controller is perfect as it is. I wouldn't mind some resigned shoulder buttons though. And if the sixaxis motion sensor is gonna be used for aiming i'd like the rumble to slowly jolt to show the nervousness of the shot. This would make it harder to aim but more realistic, not a perfect idea, but it's an idea at that.

Hey, I'm all for the analog stick and d-pad reversal...I think we all are. But I would be quite excited to see the triggers concave so that my freakin fingers will stop slippin off the STUPID controller!!
