Microsoft might want to tone this one down. They’re calling the newly announced accessories “hot”, which they’re saying are the Halo 3 Limited Edition Xbox 360 (how this is an accessory I’ll never know), the Messenger text input device, and wireless controllers hot pink and neon blue.

Ok, the Messenger is somewhat cool. I’m going to discount the Halo 3 LE 360, as calling it an accessory makes as much sense as calling Gene Simmons a virgin. Besides, it’s pretty useless unless you don’t already have a 360. The last ones, colored controllers, are far from “hot”. Come on, why do I need neon pink and blue controllers? I think Microsoft should change the title here from “hot” to “steaming piles of crap”.

I think they should have busted out this “hot” term last year when they announced the wireless headset and wireless racing wheel. Those are a lot cooler than colored controllers.
