I have but one question why is Nintendo and the Wii focusing more energy on mini game type titles? Is that all this console plans on offering, cheesy party games? This Wii Fit concept is weak and will not catch on here in the US. Wii Sports was fun because it was free and was the first one, but now it is just getting old, Wii Play was fairly boring and i can almost guarantee that Wii Fit will be also. Come on Nintendo step up the development of full games, not these mini bombs.

seriously. i want a real game here folks, something substantial. i’m beginning to think i spent my $250 a year early, and should have just waited for super smash to arrive first.
I agree with ya XiD, i have the same feeling, my wii ineup consists of zelda, warioware, wii sports and wii play. weak at best, i have a $250 paper weight wit my 360.
Sadly I have to agree with you guys. The only time I played my Wii was when I first had TP and Red Steel. On occasion me and my friends would whip out Sports and play, but thats about it. The only real thing I use it for is SSB: Melee, which is always fun. Since there haven’t been many actual games for the Wii, Gamefly isn’t very useful for me in that department. Waiting for Brawl would have probably been a better choice, or at least waiting until this holiday season.
It’s the Sega Genesis Activator all over again, a stupid gimmick that will not catch on. Nintendo needs to wake up and realize that the popularity of Wii Sports is that it was bundled for FREE. No one in their right mind would pay for Wii Sports, unless it’s $20 or less.
I’m going to have to agree. They are targeting a mass audience here, not just us hardcore gamers. I think Wii Fit will appeal to a lot of people who aren’t huge into gaming, which is what I think Nintendo has put their focus on as the target demographic.
The only games I saw from E3 for Wii that even get me remotely excited are Super Mario Galaxy (which I think will flop just like Sunshine), Mario Kart (which will be the Gamecube version plus an iffy online mode), and Super Smash Brothers. There’s not much depth going on here. Metroid just looks okay to me. The Wii-mote motion sensing seems to be fading out a bit with the hardcore crowd.
