I’ve been excited for Overlord since I saw the first trailer. I’m not going to lie, having my own minions is my life long dream. One day it will happen in real life. Until then, I’m stuck with the digital version, which is pretty freaking cool.
The graphics in the game are pretty crisp, but nothing mind blowing. Think Kameo-esque. The controls are terrific in the game. You use the right stick to control your minions, which is very fun. Want to knock down that tree over there? Point your right analog stick in that direction and watch those little creatures do their thing. The camera movement is spot on, which is major plus in this type of game.
What confused me was the plot in the demo. If I’m supposed to be some evil Overlord, why do all the people in the game like me and cheer me on? I mean, sure, hobbits are an evil breed and we need to contain their population (which is basically what you’re doing in the demo, other than fighting one huge troll at the end), but come on, I’m a freakin’ evil Overlord. Shouldn’t these people be cowering at my feet? Even the in-game tutorial tells you not to kill innocent people. Seriously, someone got the definition of evil mixed up here.
Even with the confusing nature of the plot, the game is extremely fun, albeit short. I can’t wait for the full version of the game to see how much destruction I can cause with my little minions.
(I really just like saying the word minions. Minions are cool. Minions minions minions. Ok I’m done. Minions)

All I can say is Overlord looks like a good time!I like hte fact that the minions loot stuff for you so that you dont have to wlak around picking things up, they also auto equip weapons, armor and pumpkins they find, yes the minions have a fondness for pumpkin hats!! This is a top prospect for me right now with Shadowrun!
Yes it very fun i want to get the actal game but i cant yet like i said before in the guitar hero 2 contest i cant really afford this stuff all the time.
