It’s about time Sony joined this century and entered the blog parade. They’ve had Three Speech, which is about as officially unofficial as one can get. Now, we get PlayStation.Blog.

The launch today signifies a major step in Sony’s efforts to keep an open communication line with their user base. Microsoft has been at it for a while now, with Major Nelson, Ozymandias, and Let’s Kill Dave all contributing information to the Xbox community. Sony hopes to do the same.

Nintendo needs to step up and join the party here. Their two biggest competitors are providing valuable information, so when is big bad Reggie going to tag along?
