Capcom’s Profit Margin Slides 12%, Still Beats Projections

capcom.jpgHow is it possible for a company to drop 12% of their overall net profit for the 2006-2007 fiscal year and still be happy about it?  Capcom expected to lose a lot more than that according to Gamespot.  The company had figured with the switching of consoles and how much they would cost the consumer, that they would have a higher drop off, but two titles saved their necks.  According to their publisher:

“One of the significant accomplishments is that both Dead Rising and Lost Planet for Xbox 360 achieved sales of one million copies due to their great popularity in the US and Europe,”

Capcom has more games slated for release this fall such as Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for the Xbox360.

  1. They did sell a ton for the 360 this year. Hopefully they start bringing these titles to other consoles
