Rumor: Final Fantasy 13 Coming this December

final-fantasy-xiii.jpgGamestop announces that on December 2007, FFXIII will be released for the PS3 reports Gameswank.  This title may be released earlier than expected because Metal Gear Solid 4 has now been pushed back into probably the first quarter of 2008.

  1. I’m hoping we see this game this year…. PS3 needs a system seller

  2. Chris Stone

Heh, if xbox360 owners get any luck, Square Enix will release it for xbox360 too. I think square may do this if they think that the profit from the PS3 version won’t be enough.

  3. @Chris Stone – I doubt the main FF13 game will come to the 360, but I would guess a side game will make it to multiple consoles

Its “Chris Stone” just changed my name to a more appropriate “fourm” name.

That was actually the one reason I was going to buy the PS3. However, I wanted a game system to play for the past two summers, so I purchased the 360, and will not be able to purchase the PS3.

  5. FFXIII needs to bring back the game to a darker meaner place. The last few FF games were far too happy, especially the one with the girls and the one where you played soccer under water as a mini game. Bring back the days of FFVII, CLoud FTW.

Yea, I loved Final Fantasy VII, that game was great. In the new FF games, you don’t really see any important characters get killed, like Areis in FFVII.

  7. I agree, FF needs to go back to it’s roots. The past few games have been too bright and happy (not that bright is bad in terms of visuals, I meant the game’s soul).

Either way, I’ll still get it :)

  8. The other day I watched the Final Fantasy Cartoon Movie thing, Spirits of Something, well… I hope the game is nothing like that.
