The Daily Show and The Colbert Report available on XBL. Price: arm and a leg

daily-show.jpgOur very good friend Major Nelson, reported today that both the Daily Show and the Colbert Report will be available for download on Xbox Live Video Marketplace just hours after they appear live.  Thats awesome. The price for each show? 160 points!!  Wow, thats like 2 bucks an episode.  You can get 16 episodes for 10 dollars on iTunes.  When iTunes offer you better deals, you know something is wrong.  Furthermore, Jon Stewart is a fraternity brother of myself and drunk pandas(editor in chief), I simply can’t dish that kind of cash out.  I like where its headed, the very fast turnaround on downloadable content, but things need to get reasonable.

  1. Seriously, this is a complete rip off. It’s less than half the price for the same thing on iTunes. I’m starting to blame Microsoft for the pricing, because it’s becoming out of control. Especially after hearing the interviews with Bizarre Creations (who wanted to make Geometry Wars free) and Mark Rein (who wants Gears of War content to be free) that Microsoft won’t let people make free content for the 360.

Yeh it’s a bit dodge, especially over here in S.A. where 800 points costs you ALOT of money.

  3. @Opium:

S.A. Is that South Africa or San Antonio?

    Either way, Go Springboks.
