Bungie, trying to whet the palates of its avid fan base, has released yet another map pack for both the Xbox and Xbox360. Gamereports.com reported today that the map pack is finished and ready for download. The two maps, Tombstone and Desolation should bring about some mayhem while we all wait for Halo 3 beta. This will cost 4 bucks and not Microsoft points because it is really based on Xbox for obvious reasons. Its technically not on the Marketplace, but the xbox interface. Honestly, I think they should have been free because Halo 2 has been out for about 4 years, but people gotta eat and so forth.

I haven’t touched Halo 2 since it became a racist cheat fest. No way I’m spending money on maps for it.
There is a hidden acheivment in Halo 2. Finish any match without having a 10 year kid call you a racial slur. = 500 achv points.
That’s impossible! I’ve had racial slurs thrown at me in Halo 2 that don’t even make sense.
Haha. Yeah, it’s like second nature now to get called something stupid in Halo 2. I honestly bet using the special Mute feature in Halo 3 will be an achievement. If not, it should be.
See, that’s the beauty of these maps. They’re classic! These are exactly the maps that are going to keep me in the game playing private games with people on my friend’s list.
Honestly, you’ve had three years to get a good list of friends who won’t use racial slurs… What’s the problem here?
The problem is EVERYONE I know gave up Halo 2 a long time ago for those reasons, and don’t have any desire to go back. We’ve all moved on to different games.
