There are very, very few movies that are don’t suck all kinds of ass that result from a video game as inspiration.  You remember such cinematic gems as Mario Bros The Movie and Street Fighter with Jean Clauge Van Damme, the second Mortal Kombat, and pretty much anything Uwe Boll touches(Bloodrayne, Alone in the Dark, Far Cry(in production). Nevertheless, Variety has disclosed that New Line cinema is going to make the Gears of War movie and wants to sync it with the sequel we all know is coming.  Epic studios wants to create the buzz that Halo has done for Bungie and basically solidfy their future as a production company.  No word on the plot or cast, but we will let you know as soon as we can.  I hope that they use the trippy Gary Jule version of Mad World.
